No need to buy the stuff from Mountain House Foods, you can Make Your Food, and doing it this way makes for lots less sodium in your trail diet. This uses Dutch's freeze dried beef and was my first for real recipe using his meats---came out pretty good.
I left out the noodles as I'm having spotty results with flat noodles and hydration times, but you can add your own.
